As a leader in bringing new opportunities to downtown, Downtown Sacramento Partnership needed to highlight all their successes of 2015 and the exciting growth occurring in downtown. To accurately reflect the energy of Sacramento’s urban renaissance, we were tapped to rethink the traditional annual report.

 

 

 

approach

We were driven by the goal to make this piece unlike the reports that most would expect, and instead something that excited audiences about Downtown Sacramento’s present and future. Our strategy consisted of using modern infographics paired with a more magazine-style layout, encouraging viewers to engage in the content in a more user-friendly way.

Published as both a print and digital piece, the 2015 annual report had 102% more reach than the previous year.

To showcase the passion and vibrancy of downtown Sacramento we overlaid colorful filters and flowing lines on lifestyle-focused photography. Throughout the report we paired facts and figures in a fun infographic style and featured Downtown Sacramento Partnership team members to show some of the faces that work so hard to build a great downtown.
