We’re partial to the Farm-to-Fork brand for countless reasons. Having created their website and brochure, we’ve come to know them, and to love them. So, naturally, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to attend their highly anticipated event, Legends of Wine, to try new labels, revisit old favorites and eat all of the cheese.
There are few better places to enjoy a night of wine tasting than right on the steps of our majestic State Capitol. As the sun goes down, the breeze sweeps in, the Tower Bridge begins to glow and it’s suddenly hard not to think, “Wow, we live in a pretty marvelous place.”
Part of Sacramento’s Farm-to-Fork month, Legends of Wine is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with local wines ranging from the Viogniers of Clarksburg to the Tempranillos of Amador. Guests were greeted upon entry with a keepsake wine glass and a personal-sized mini loaf from local favorite, Grateful Bread (the perfect vessel for consuming copious amounts of chèvre, pepper jack, blue and sharp cheddar cheese). Participating wineries offered generous tastes of award-winning varietals alongside smoked sausage delights from Hook & Ladder and Hawks Public House.
